Indian Mountain School (IMS) and The Hotchkiss School are thrilled to be co-hosting the 2016 Tri-State Mini Maker Faire on the Indian Mountain Campus. Mini Maker Faires are the perfect marriage between science, technology, art and design, and aim to provide the community at large with a forum for creativity and conversation. We have teamed up to provide the community with a day full of displays and activities that will challenge and delight participants of all ages.
Both IMS and Hotchkiss are committed to growing a culture of Making within the community. The Tri-State Maker Mini Faire will draw upon adult and student Makers from Northwestern Connecticut, Southwestern Massachusetts and Eastern New York State. There will be opportunities to view the work of well-known artists and engineers. Participants will also be engaged to Make in the moment by experiencing the challenge of balancing a mobile, programming Arduino, or by planting seedlings in pots made by robots.
